Hi, Firstly I would like to thank you for accessing my website and for taking the time to read this. I thought it would be interesting to write a little bit about myself. Here goes. I started drawing from about 7 years old. I remember my first great piece of artwork, I drew an owl for a school competition and won first prize. I continued my artwork as a hobby for the next 30 years until in 1997 when I fell ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E.) and my GP advised me to use my artistic skills as therapy to aid my recovery. I am a self taught artist and have picked up techniques along the way and have been inspired by many other artists, mainly infamous. I work with both graphite and coloured pencils and specialise with sport and celebrity portraits. Most recently I have been commissioned to draw some pet portraits. I use Faber-Castell pencils for my coloured work and Derwent pencils for my graphite work. I do however; welcome commissions on nearly any subject. My artwork has progressed over the years until quite recently I decided, with the help of my wife Elaine, that I would launch my own website. She has been great support to me together with my children Phoebe 8 and Ethan 4. I hope you like browsing my work and feel free to contact me should you have any questions. |
